Julia I, M.S., LPC-T, LAC, CTP
(Under the supervision of Amy Crosswhite)
I am a certified trauma-informed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
My passion lies in helping people understand not only what they are experiencing, but why. Many of the clients I work with have spent years trying to think their way through their struggles. They are insightful, self-aware, and often understand their patterns intellectually, yet still find themselves feeling stuck.
I believe healing involves more than simply talking about problems. While understanding our stories is important, lasting change often happens when we begin working with the nervous system and reconnecting with the wisdom of the body.
My approach combines traditional talk therapy with somatic and trauma-informed techniques that help clients build awareness of how stress, trauma, and life experiences are held both emotionally and physically. Together, we explore patterns with curiosity and compassion while developing practical tools for regulation, resilience, and growth.
I am particularly passionate about trauma work because I have seen how deeply past experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Whether trauma stems from a single event or years of chronic stress, healing is possible.
I also believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Every person brings a unique story, history, and set of strengths into the room. Rather than relying on a rigid formula, I strive to think creatively and collaboratively with each client to find approaches that truly fit their needs.
My style is warm, authentic, and grounded. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions, challenge old patterns, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that may have been lost along the way.
